Prof. Dr. Amir H. Zekrgoo is invited as Macgeorge Fellow to visit the Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation at the University of Melbourne from 4th of July to 9th August  2013.

Macgeorge Fellowships is a prestigious fellowship and recent fellows have included Professor Deborah Howard (Faculty of Architecture and History of Art, University of Cambridge) and Professor Martin Bresnick (Professor of Composition, Yale University).

 

The Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation (CCMC) is the only centre of its kind in Australia, combining both theory and practice of cultural materials conservation. The Centre has responsibility for the conservation of the University of Melbourne’s  collections of cultural material and provides commercial conservation programs, treatments and advice to individuals and organizations. The Centre has a strong research track record and active research programs, with national and international collaborations. In addition, the Centre seeks to develop graduate research opportunities, relating to the broader issues of cultural preservation, particularly for communities and cultures within the Asian-Pacific region.

Prof. Dr. Amir H. Zekrgoo is going to deliver a public lecture and a department seminar as well as postgraduate workshop.
